Indonesia lowered the monthly DMO quota and tightens the palm oil export quota ratio

Effective May 1, 2023, Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade has decreased the monthly domestic market obligation (DMO) quota from 450 thousand tons to 300 thousand tons.

Additionally, the government has lowered the volume ratio for palm oil exports, reducing the ratio of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and its derivatives from 1:6 to 1:4. This means that for every 1,000 tons of CPO supplied by a business actor, they will now receive export rights of 4,000 tons.
